What is Library 2.0?
Library 2.0 is using web 2.0 technology in a library setting and Services. It is a second generation of web user that allows people collaborate & communicate, to create and share online information

What does it mean Web 2.0?

Web 2.0 is a new version of internet technology and applications including blogs, wikis, folksonomies,RSS feeds and social bookmarking.
It is easy to use and free, you do not need to have advanced skills to implement web 2.0 tools

You can talk ,share, tag or upload pictures and information with your friends.
Most popular websites are Web 2.0 sites such as Wikipedia, YouTube, Mashups,Facebook, MySpace, and Flickr.
Here are the Web2.0 applications that commonly used by Libraries.
         Flickr: It is using for  image sharing. Tagging and creating  collections.  Also It allows  people’s comment.

         BlogsYou can participate by reading the blogs and posting comments. You can up to date your post anytime.
         Instant Messaging(IM):It is information and  online messaging service such as “Ask librarian services” that help you communicate with librarians.
         RSS feeds and facebook also commonly used by libraries.
